<\/span>PROJECT DESCRIPTION<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span>FISH-IMPACT is designed to promote the modernisation of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the fisheries sector through the adoption of quality and sustainability requirements. The project will collect information on labelling and certification schemes for the environmental, social and health performance of fish products, both at national, EU and IPA market levels. Key performance indicators (KPIs) in the areas of ESG, sustainability and nutritional values will be developed and integrated into a multilingual online self-assessment tool. In addition, the project includes training on topics such as product environmental footprint, life cycle, circular <\/span>economy<\/span> and environmental labels. Finally, dissemination and <\/span>capacity<\/span> building activities are planned to ensure the transferability of the results to the Adriatic-Ionian region.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>

<\/span>NEEDS<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span>The project needs to create packaging guidelines that include sustainability and nutritional information, and to develop a web application for generating FISH-IMPACT QR labels. It is also essential to <\/span>validate<\/span> these tools with consumers and producers, and to implement a <\/span>capacity<\/span> building programme for the Adriatic-Ionian <\/span>region.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>

<\/span>EXPECTED RESULTS<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span>FISH-IMPACT aims to improve the competitiveness of SMEs in the seafood sector through the implementation of sustainable practices and the communication of the health benefits of seafood products. The <\/span>objective<\/span> is to develop guidelines for packaging and labelling, and to <\/span>validate<\/span> these tools with end users to ensure their effectiveness and transferability.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>

<\/span>SPECIFICATIONS<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span>The FISH-IMPACT project envisages that <\/span>CibuSalus<\/span> will carry out key activities, including a desk review of fish and shellfish consumption habits, health impact and socio-demographic data to produce guidelines on seafood health and nutrition. <\/span>CibuSalus<\/span> will also develop packaging guidelines that include sustainability and <\/span>nutrition, and<\/span> create a web application to generate FISH-IMPACT QR labels. In addition, <\/span>CibuSalus<\/span> will assess the economic and social impacts of ESG awareness in the seafood sector and examine how this awareness can influence the economy and society in fisheries and aquaculture.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
