Project description: Feasibility study of a new city logistics model for goods distribution in the historic center of Udine (ZTL area). The initiative includes a technical-legal and economic evaluation of a new city logistics system within the ZTL, aimed at optimizing goods distribution flows. Activities include engagement with relevant stakeholders, analysis of the legal and regulatory framework, study of best practices, development of various governance scenarios, and the conceptualization of a rendering of logistics flows and access points, with the objective of evaluating an operational roadmap proposal for the establishment of an in-house or jointly owned company.

Needs:

The need arises from the current critical issues related to traffic and pollution caused by delivery vehicle access to Limited Traffic Zones (ZTL) for commercial activities located in the heart of the city.

Results:

The feasibility study aims to further examine the development of a new city logistics system in the Limited Traffic Zones (ZTL) of the Municipality of Udine, with the goal of reducing pollution, improving traffic management, and enabling more efficient goods distribution.

Characteristics:

The initiative includes analysis of applicable laws and municipal regulations, support to the Municipality in defining an organizational model for urban goods distribution, development of a governance scenario and a preliminary draft of the Economic and Financial Plan (PEF), and an operational roadmap for the establishment of an in-house or jointly owned company.
